The SR16 million fountain opens as the centrepiece of a major tourism and entertainment destination in Asir.

Dubai: Saudi Arabia has inaugurated the Kingdom’s largest dancing fountain and the world’s third tallest at a new tourism resort in the Asir region, as part of a major private-sector project designed to strengthen domestic tourism.
The fountain, unveiled at Al Wadi Resort, rises 120 metres high, ranking it as the second tallest in the Middle East.
Constructed at a cost exceeding SR16 million, the fountain circulates more than seven million litres of water and is set to become one of Asir’s premier tourist attractions.
The fountain serves as the centrepiece of a comprehensive tourism development covering more than 300,000 square metres, featuring landscaped gardens, farms, restaurants, cafés, a theatre and indoor event spaces aimed at welcoming visitors and families year-round.
The resort also features a 60,000-square-metre heritage village inspired by Asir’s history and cultural traditions, with traditional markets and retail spaces showcasing the region’s local heritage.
A heritage museum is set to open next month, offering visitors insights into Asir’s history and cultural identity.
Guests will be able to experience daily entertainment from 1pm until midnight, including dancing fountain shows, live performances and a variety of activities designed to enrich the summer tourism season.
