UAE forecast: Mercury set to reach 47°C inland even as conditions ease slightly

Date:

Gusty winds of up to 40 km/h expected, along with humid conditions that may bring fog.

The United Arab Emirates is expected to see generally fair conditions today, though occasional dusty spells may affect visibility, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Temperatures are forecast to dip slightly, with fresh winds reaching up to 40 km/h adding to the unsettled conditions in some areas.

The NCM said low clouds are likely over northern regions, while light to moderate south-westerly to north-westerly winds may strengthen at times, lifting dust across exposed areas.

Sea conditions are expected to range from slight to moderate overall, becoming rough in parts of the western Arabian Gulf, while remaining slight in the Oman Sea.

Maximum temperatures are expected to vary across the country, ranging from 39°C to 44°C in coastal and island areas, 42°C to 47°C inland, and 32°C to 37°C in mountainous regions.

Looking ahead, weather conditions are expected to stay generally fair on Wednesday, though periods of dust may occur. Humidity is likely to increase overnight into Thursday morning in some coastal areas, raising the chance of fog or mist formation.

Temperatures are forecast to climb again on Friday, with humid conditions and occasional mist persisting over parts of the coast and inland regions, especially in western areas.

By Saturday, conditions are expected to remain mostly fair, with some cloud development over eastern parts of the country. Winds will be light to moderate, shifting between south-easterly and north-easterly directions, and may strengthen at times to around 35 km/h, with average speeds of 10–20 km/h. Sea conditions are expected to stay slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
