Lower accommodation rates, seasonal offers, and concerts are boosting the city’s appeal during the summer months.

Dubai will process single-entry 30- and 60-day tourist visas within 48 working hours, a move travel agents say could attract more visitors to the emirate.
The update is expected to benefit tourists, business travellers, and families planning last-minute trips, they added.
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA Dubai) said visitors can obtain a single-entry tourist visa within 48 working hours after completing the application and submitting all required documents.
Travel industry executives noted that the faster processing time is expected to reduce uncertainty for travellers and make Dubai more attractive, particularly during the summer season when hotels and attractions offer competitive deals.
GDRFA Dubai has stated that applications for single-entry tourist visas are processed through authorised tourism offices, with options for 30-day and 60-day stays. The visa is typically issued within 48 working hours after all required documents are submitted.
Bharat Aidasani, managing partner at Pluto Travels, said the announcement has quickly become a talking point in the travel industry. He noted that once awareness spreads, demand for Dubai travel is likely to rise, as the faster visa turnaround reduces uncertainty and supports both leisure and business trips. He also highlighted Dubai’s strategic location between East and West, making it especially convenient for business travellers who may need to travel on short notice.
He added that summer conditions could further boost demand, with hotels offering attractive seasonal rates and competitive airfares from parts of the Indian subcontinent and other regions.
Subair Thekepurathvalappil, Senior Manager at Wisefox Tourism, said the process is straightforward once correct documents are submitted, with many travellers receiving visas within a day and others within 48 hours. He advised applicants to ensure all documentation is accurate to avoid delays, and noted growing enquiries following the announcement.
Taha Siddique, owner of Siddique Travels, said the new timeline has generated interest among tourists, business travellers, and families. He added that visitors from the Indian subcontinent often travel during summer due to monsoon conditions at home, while lower hotel rates, seasonal promotions, and concerts further enhance Dubai’s appeal.
Travel agents say the faster visa processing, combined with seasonal travel incentives, is expected to strengthen Dubai’s position as a year-round destination for international visitors.
