A four-month programme is training young Emiratis to shape and communicate the UAE’s industrial story.

In Abu Dhabi, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (UAE), the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation, and IMI Media Academy have launched the “Industrial Content Leaders” programme at Make it in the Emirates 2026. The national initiative aims to train young Emiratis in AI-powered storytelling to promote the UAE’s industrial sector.
The four-month programme, beginning this summer, will be delivered in three phases: building foundational knowledge of the industrial sector, hands-on media production using artificial intelligence tools, and the creation of national content projects led by participants themselves.
Hassan Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (UAE), said the programme is an investment in the next generation, aimed at equipping young people who understand the importance of national industry and can communicate its value using innovative, AI-driven methods.
He added that the goal is to empower participants to tell the story of UAE industry and develop a national narrative that reflects the country’s ambitions.
Dr. Sonia Ben Jaafar, CEO of the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation, said that when young Emiratis share their country’s story in their own voice, it goes beyond representation and becomes continuity.
She added that through the partnership, participants will gain direct exposure to the UAE’s industrial transformation while building practical skills in artificial intelligence, media, and storytelling. More importantly, she noted, they will help document a defining phase of the country’s development through the perspective of a generation shaped by national ambition, grounded in its values, and entrusted with carrying its narrative forward.
Ali Al Hammadi, Chief Operating Officer at IMI Media Academy, said that the ability to shape narratives today is as important as building industries.
He added that through the academy, a new generation of Emirati storytellers is being developed with skills in media, technology, and artificial intelligence to communicate the UAE’s industrial ambitions to global audiences.
He further noted that the programme aims to empower young talent to create stories that reinforce national identity, highlight innovation, and elevate the UAE’s industrial sector on the international stage.
