Partnerships worth over Dh60 million aim to strengthen local manufacturing capabilities and reinforce supply chains.

In Abu Dhabi, ADNOC Distribution announced strategic partnerships with Emirates Global Aluminium and Borouge worth more than AED 60 million during its participation in “Make it in the Emirates.” The agreements aim to enhance industrial performance and strengthen local manufacturing and supply chains.

Under the partnerships, ADNOC Distribution will offer its partners access to a portfolio of 520 products tailored to diverse operational needs, supported by a 96% In-Country Value (ICV) score in lubricant manufacturing. Its lubricants are produced in the UAE and exported to over 50 countries, underscoring the company’s expanding global reach.

The agreements further reinforce the growth of ADNOC Distribution’s lubricants business and its contribution to supporting industrial development in the UAE.

These agreements are expected to strengthen local production capacity and ensure long-term supply commitments across key industrial sectors in the UAE.

The agreements signed with Emirates Global Aluminium and Borouge highlight ADNOC Distribution’s growing role in providing high-performance, locally manufactured lubrication solutions across key industrial sectors.

Collectively valued at more than Dh 60 million, the partnerships reflect ADNOC Distribution’s commitment to producing UAE-made lubricants, strengthening domestic supply chains, and contributing to a more resilient and self-sufficient industrial ecosystem.

ADNOC Distribution continues to position its lubricant brand ADNOC Voyager as the UAE’s leading lubricants brand, supporting national industrial growth while strengthening its global reputation for quality, innovation, and technical expertise.

This is supported by ADNOC Distribution’s portfolio of 520 lubricant products, which cater to a wide range of automotive, industrial, and specialty applications.

In 2025, the company also renewed its In-Country Value (ICV) Certificate for lubricant manufacturing with a strong score of 96%, placing it among the highest in the UAE.

The strength of its premium lubricant brand, ADNOC Voyager, is further reinforced by its distinction as the first in the Middle East to achieve the latest API SQ / ILSAC GF-7 certification, highlighting the company’s focus on performance, innovation, and global standards.

The collaboration between ADNOC Distribution and Emirates Global Aluminium supports the UAE’s industrial development under the Operation 300bn strategy by enabling the supply of high-performance lubricants for large-scale industrial operations.

EGA currently spends around Dh 8 billion annually on goods and services from UAE-based suppliers, with more than 40% of its procurement sourced locally, reflecting its strong commitment to in-country value. Through this partnership, EGA will receive locally blended lubricants designed for its operations, enhancing efficiency, reliability, and long-term performance.

Separately, the partnership with Borouge focuses on advancing local production of specialised materials, including pharma-grade white oil, strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities and reducing reliance on imports.

The collaboration between ADNOC Distribution and Borouge includes the development of initial production volumes of over 40 metric tonnes of specialised materials already tested within the UAE, with both parties now moving toward scaled production, including a planned 100-metric-tonne capacity.

In addition, the two companies are working on sustainable and circular solutions within the lubricants value chain. This includes a jointly developed lube oil packaging solution that leverages Borouge’s high-density polyethylene (HDPE) to create a lighter packaging design, alongside the use of recycled materials to improve environmental sustainability and strengthen supply chain resilience.

The initiative aligns with ADNOC Distribution’s broader sustainability and decarbonisation goals while maintaining the high reliability and performance standards expected by customers.
