Abu Dhabi’s police chief has led a hospital review of the medical care being provided to victims of Iranian attacks.

Abu Dhabi: Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoon Al Muhairi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police and Head of the Abu Dhabi Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Team, visited Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City to assess the condition of individuals affected by Iranian attacks and review ongoing treatment plans in line with the highest standards of care.
During the visit, he reaffirmed the emirate’s commitment to continuous on-the-ground monitoring of the health response for patients receiving treatment at the facility.
A high-level delegation also took part in the visit to review the healthcare response, including Matar Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre (ADCMC), Dr Rashed Obaid Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), and Dr Marwan Al Kaabi, CEO of Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, along with other government officials.
The delegation assessed the effectiveness of treatment plans and ensured that patients were receiving integrated care in line with advanced medical standards.
During the visit, officials also met injured individuals and their families, listening to feedback on the medical care being provided. They emphasised that safeguarding community wellbeing remains a top priority in Abu Dhabi’s crisis management approach, regardless of broader regional developments.
Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoon Al Muhairi highlighted the importance of mobilising all available logistical and medical resources to speed up recovery efforts. He expressed confidence in the rehabilitation pathways at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City and commended the professionalism of both medical and administrative staff.
He noted that the strength of the medical response reflects Abu Dhabi’s robust healthcare infrastructure and proactive planning, underscoring its central role in the emirate’s emergency and crisis management system.
The visit concluded with a focus on strengthened cross-sector coordination to ensure a responsive and adaptive approach to evolving challenges. The Abu Dhabi Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre continues to closely monitor recovery progress to ensure sustained care and support until full recovery is achieved.
