Abu Dhabi: Two Emiratis and an Indian national suffered minor injuries after debris from a successfully intercepted aerial threat hit the Habshan gas processing complex, authorities reported. Emergency teams were deployed to contain several small fires at the site.

The Abu Dhabi Media Office confirmed that the incident resulted from debris following an interception by air defence systems.

Operations at the facility have been temporarily suspended as a precaution while authorities assess the situation.

Authorities stated that response teams acted promptly to secure the site and manage the incident, adding that further updates will be provided as investigations progress.

Earlier in the morning, Abu Dhabi authorities reported a fire at the Habshan gas processing facility, without specifying the cause.

The public has been urged to rely solely on official sources for information and to avoid spreading rumours or unverified reports.
