DUBAI: The international racing community descends on Meydan Racecourse this Saturday, with broadcast coverage reaching a record 170 countries.

Backed by a total prize pool of $30.5 million, the event has drawn unprecedented global attention, cementing its status as a marquee fixture on the world sporting calendar.

The centerpiece is the $12 million Dubai World Cup, sponsored by Emirates, serving as the highlight of a nine-race program featuring elite horses from more than a dozen nations.

To match the grandeur of the occasion, Dubai Racing Club has partnered with Racecourse Media Group and HBA Media to deliver the spectacle to a vast television audience, reflecting the event’s high-stakes prestige.

The “World Feed” production, led by Nick Luck and Rishi Persad, will be broadcast by 41 major networks across Asia, Australasia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. Highlights this year include Australia’s Channel 7 airing the race on its primary channel for the first time, alongside major platforms such as Canada’s Sportsnet and India’s FanCode, which reaches a massive audience of 160 million users.

The Americas will enjoy extensive coverage via Fox Sports and ESPN / Disney+, while SuperSport and Racing 240 lead coverage across Africa.

European audiences can follow the action through Eurovision, Viaplay, and Setanta Sports. In Asia, the broadcast remains a powerhouse, with live feeds via Japan’s Fuji TV, Abema, and Netkeiba, as well as Hong Kong’s TVB and HKJC TV.

Ali Al Ali, Board Member and CEO of Dubai Racing Club, said this landmark media footprint reflects the event’s global stature.

Seb Vance, Director of International Broadcasting at Racecourse Media Group, added that this tenth year of collaboration aims to break viewership records across worldwide channels spanning every continent, from the Middle East to Australasia.
