Air defences in the United Arab Emirates are actively intercepting incoming missiles and drones launched from Iran, the country’s Ministry of Defence has said. Authorities have explained that the loud noises reported across parts of the UAE are caused by air defence systems engaging and destroying these aerial threats, confirming that the sounds are from interceptions rather than direct impacts on the country.
