Fujairah: Authorities in the Emirate of Fujairah reported that a fire erupted after debris from an intercepted unmanned aerial vehicle fell, confirming that no injuries occurred.

According to a statement from the Fujairah Media Office, Civil Defence teams responded promptly to the incident, working to contain the fire and secure the area.

Authorities urge the public to avoid spreading unverified information, emphasizing that safety starts with personal responsibility. All necessary measures are being taken to protect civilians, critical infrastructure, and essential services.

Fujairah: Recent Fire Incidents

  • March 3: A fire broke out in the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) after debris from an intercepted drone. No injuries were reported, and operations resumed normally.
  • March 9: Another fire occurred in the Fujairah Oil Tanks area following falling debris. Again, no injuries were reported.

Authorities emphasized the importance of relying on official sources and avoiding rumours. UAE energy supplies remain stable, and emergency teams continue to closely monitor the situation.

The National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) warns the public to keep a safe distance from debris resulting from aerial interceptions.

  • Do not approach, touch, or photograph any fallen objects, as specialised teams are trained to handle such incidents.
  • Report any sightings immediately to authorities by calling 999.
  • Even debris that appears harmless can pose serious safety risks.
