Sharjah: Authorities in Sharjah have arrested a man accused of running an unlicensed cosmetic services business and promoting it on social media.

Police received a report that an Arab national was offering cosmetic treatments without the required permits.

Investigators stated that the suspect had imported equipment for the procedures and was advertising his services online

Officers conducted a sting operation after identifying one of the advertisements on the suspect’s social media accounts.

The man was arrested while in possession of equipment allegedly used to perform the cosmetic procedures.

Prosecutors stated that the suspect had been providing cosmetic services at an unlicensed location in exchange for payment, potentially endangering the safety of others.

During a hearing before the Sharjah Misdemeanours Court, the defendant denied the charges and requested more time to prepare his defence.
