Dubai: A major Dubai-based airline, flydubai, has begun operating a limited number of flights from Dubai International Airport (DXB) following the temporary partial closure of UAE airspace.
In its latest travel update on March 3, the airline confirmed it is operating a restricted flight schedule from Terminals 2 and 3 at DXB. Passengers scheduled to travel within the next 72 hours can rebook flights up to 20 days from their original travel date, free of charge.
Key advice for travellers:
- Log in to Manage Your Booking to rebook flights or update contact details.
- Check flight status regularly before heading to the airport.
- Contact the flydubai Contact Centre at (+971) 600 54 44 45, visit a flydubai travel shop, or reach out to your travel agent for rebooking or refund options.
flydubai operates multiple routes from DXB, including destinations in Iran.
A spokesperson emphasized that the situation is developing:
“We are prioritising customers affected by the disruption. This is an evolving situation, which we continue to monitor closely in coordination with the relevant authorities. We are working diligently to ramp up operations once temporary restrictions are lifted.
Customers are advised not to travel to the airport unless contacted directly with a confirmed departure time.
The safety of our passengers and crew remains our highest priority. We thank our customers for their patience and understanding.”
