The United Arab Emirates, having faced over 1,000 attacks, affirms its right to self‑defence under the UN Charter.

ABU DHABI: The United Arab Emirates has reaffirmed that it has made no decision to change its defensive posture in response to repeated Iranian attacks, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
The UAE has endured more than 1,000 attacks — a figure surpassing the total faced by all other targeted countries combined — all of which were intercepted and neutralised by the UAE Armed Forces with utmost professionalism, efficiency, and distinction.
Not a party to the war
The UAE reiterates that it is not a party to the conflict and has not allowed its territory, territorial waters, or airspace to be used for any attacks against Iran, in line with its longstanding policy of good neighbourliness, de‑escalation, and firm commitment to the UN Charter.
The UAE also underscores that it retains its legitimate right to self‑defence, as recognised under international law and the United Nations Charter.
Journalistic Responsibility
The United Arab Emirates further emphasizes the importance of journalistic responsibility, urging media outlets to rely on official and credible sources before publishing or circulating inaccurate or misleading reports.
