The airline says a technical problem is impacting Etihad’s contact centre operations.

Abu Dhabi: UAE national carrier Etihad Airways has suspended all flights to and from the capital until 2 pm UAE time on Tuesday, March 3.
The airline said ongoing regional airspace closures continue to affect its operations.
Passengers scheduled to travel are advised to check their flight status at etihad.com before going to the airport and ensure their contact details are up to date in their booking.
Etihad said passengers holding tickets issued on or before 28 February 2026, with original travel dates up to 7 March, may rebook free of charge on Etihad-operated flights until 18 March.
Passengers travelling on any Etihad flight up to 7 March may also request a full refund online or through their travel agent.
Passengers who booked through a travel agent are advised to contact their agent directly.
High Volume of Calls
Etihad said it is currently experiencing a temporary technical issue affecting its Contact Centre due to a third-party vendor system disruption.
“As a result, phone lines may be unavailable or response times longer than usual. We expect services to be restored within the next 1–2 hours,” the airline said.
Passengers seeking a refund are encouraged to use Etihad’s online refund request form. The airline emphasized that safety remains its top priority, and flights will operate only once all safety criteria are met.
Earlier today, Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers in Bahrain and the UAE experienced power and connectivity issues following Iranian strikes on US military bases in the Gulf. The disruption also affected Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank operations.
