Emirates Cancels Flights to New York, Boston, and Newark Due to Severe Weather
Emirates has cancelled several flights due to severe winter weather affecting the East Coast of the United States. The airline confirmed that services between Dubai International Airport and New York JFK Airport will be suspended from Sunday, February 22, to Tuesday, February 24.
In a travel advisory, Emirates stated that the anticipated impact of a major snowstorm in the New York area is affecting travel to the city. Operations to Boston and Newark have also been disrupted, along with routes from Athens, Greece, and Milan, Italy.
The East Coast is expected to experience strong winds and up to 24 inches of snow, potentially surpassing the previous month’s storm. Emirates is closely monitoring the situation as severe winter weather continues in the region.
Passengers will not be accepted for travel at the point of origin for any flights connecting to New York, Boston, or Newark until conditions improve.
