The ministry has made the guide available to the public on its official website.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has released a comprehensive digital guide, translated into 16 languages, to support international pilgrims performing Umrah.

The initiative is designed to simplify the pilgrimage experience by providing essential procedural and religious information in pilgrims’ native languages, helping ensure that rituals at the Two Holy Mosques are performed smoothly. The ministry noted that this effort is part of a wider digital transformation strategy aimed at enhancing the quality of services for the millions of Muslims who visit the Kingdom each year.

Designed as an interactive educational resource, the ‘Umrah and Visit Guide’ follows a chronological structure that reflects the pilgrim’s journey. It starts with pre-travel preparations, including visa and permit requirements, and guides users through the proper procedures for performing rituals such as Ihram, Tawaf, and Sa’i.

In addition to religious guidance, the guide offers practical logistical support, including digital links to interactive maps, instructional videos, and information on transportation and movement within the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

Officials highlighted that the inclusion of behavioural and organizational guidelines is aimed at managing crowd flow and maintaining order at the holy sites, especially during peak periods. The guide also covers departure procedures to assist pilgrims as they conclude their visit.

The ministry explained that the guide is intended to bridge communication gaps and provide a smoother experience for pilgrims from around the world. It is now accessible to the public via the ministry’s official website.
