Sheikh Hamdan extends “heartfelt” condolences on the passing of renowned photographer Ramesh Shukla.

He noted that the veteran photographer “captured the journey of the United Arab Emirates and its earliest beginnings through hThe Dubai Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has extended his condolences following the passing of veteran photographer Ramesh Shukla.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ramesh Shukla, who, through his lens, documented the journey of the United Arab Emirates and its earliest beginnings,” said Sheikh Hamdan, also serving as UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.

He added that Shukla, renowned for photographing the rulers of all seven emirates shortly after the signing of the Union Agreement at Union House in 1971, preserved “pivotal moments in the history of our dear homeland and its visual memory for us and future generations.”
