Sharjah Deputy Ruler Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi passes away.

The Royal Court (Diwan) of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, announced the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, on Thursday.

A statement issued by the Sharjah Media Office said that the senior royal passed away on Thursday (Zul Qaadah 18, 1441 AH) in the UK.

The office of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased and his relatives – asking God Almighty to bless the deceased and grant the family the strength to bear his loss.

The statement announced an official mourning period with flags at half-mast in the emirate for a period of three days, starting from the arrival of the body in the UAE.

Condolences will only be received via phone call, amid current circumstances, with numbers to be announced later.
