UAE issues warning for smartphone users against ‘hacking message’

UAE telecom authority has issued a warning against a fake hacking message, which claims that people’s smartphones can be hacked via a call.

According to a statement by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority on late Sunday night, a message is being sent residents, claiming that their smartphones can be hacked by just answering a phone call from certain numbers.

TRA has clarified that a call cannot give someone access to their photos and personal files.
