It’s okay – you don’t have to spend a fortune to have a really good time in Dubai.
1- A FREE LEGO IMAGINE SHOW: Make your way to Dubai Festival City Mall to enjoy the first ever LEGO Imagine Show on the promenade of Dubai Festival City. For an additional Dh30, kids can explore the largest LEGO Festival inside of a mall. 2- A FREE POOL PARTY: Stokke House at Damac Hills is hosting a free pink themed pool party with lots of music, inflatables and access to the amazing pool. Get ready to dive in as they bring you music from DJ Aylissa. Come out and play from sunset till late and enjoy evening happy hour specials. Ylou have the option of going for their unlimited food and beverage package for Dh250. Location: Stokke House, Damac Hills. Price: Free entry. When: Friday February 28 from sunset onward.
3- A FREE BEACHSIDE YOGA CLASS: Head to Kite beach every Saturday for a free one hour yoga session with trainer Sarah White, where all levels are welcome. Bring your own mat, however if you don’t have one, Sole Mio a beach club located on Dubai’s Famous Kite beach can provide you with a towel. Location: Kite Beach. Cost: Free. Timings: 9am to 10am.
4- FREE MUSICAL SHOW AT KITE BEACH SUNSET BEATS: Head down to Kite beach and celebrate the sunset and the beauty of human connection while co-creating some Sunset Beats. Bring your drums, hoops, instruments and friends, or just your dancing self. Some instruments, drums and percussion will be provided. No prior musical experience is needed. Location: Kite Beach in front of SALT. Cost: Free. When: Friday February 28 from 5pm to 6.30pm.
5- FREE LADIES NIGHT PARTY: White Dubai will be taking over every Tuesday giving you the best vibe inspired by Afro beats, Dancehall and R&B featuring complimentary entry and beverages for all the ladies, all night long and unlimited sushi from 10pm to 1am. Location: White, Meydan. Cost: Free Timings: Tuesday, February 25 from 10pm onward.
6- Dubai’s annual culinary celebration kicks off on February 26 with the Dubai Food Festival (DFF) serving up a collection of food related events and promotions across the emirate until March 14. The citywide culinary extravaganza will be a feast for the senses, with a delicious array of food on offer to suit every taste bud and budget. Organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the 18-day festival will offer a range of mouth-watering foodie events including annual favourites: Dubai Restaurant Week, Etisalat Beach Canteen, Hidden Gems and Foodie Experiences. For two-and-a-half weeks, food enthusiasts will be able to discover the city through its food by indulging in street food to high-end fine dining.
7- FREE GOLF CLASSES FOR LADIES: Head down to the Peter Cowen Academy at Dubai Creek for the Ladies Open Weekend. Enjoy a golf lesson with their PGA Professionals on the fully floodlit driving range and complimentary practice at the Academy and golf on the Par 3 Course. Equipment is provided if required. Ladies who register for the Open Weekend can also enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee with selected cake from Jones the Grocer Express. Location: Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club. Cost: Free. 8- FREE LUCKY VOICE TALENT SHOW: For the last 4 months, the kings and queens of Karaoke have been battling it out to become the winner of Dubai’s hottest karaoke competition, ‘Lucky’s Got Talent’. The final 10 have been selected after a grueling judging process and the final includes competitors from over 6 nationalities, all offering something different. From raps, to ballads and everything in between, this is a night to witness true talent in the region. Finalists are competing for the top prize which includes a years’ worth of karaoke for 6, 4 Brunches for 6, and a top of the range microphone to keep the singing dream alive at home.
