#StayHome: Now, order your medicines online for up to 3 months in UAE

The service promises to deliver the required medications that will last for three months.

The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (Mohap) has rolled out a new service that will deliver prescribed medicines to patients, right at their doorstep till the Covid-19 threat subsides.

The service that supports the UAE’s stay-at-home policy promises to deliver the required medications that will last for three months to those suffering from chronic health conditions.

Urging UAE residents to stay at home as the country undertakes a mass sterilization drive to combat the further spread of the coronavirus, MoHap on Friday tweeted: “For your safety wherever you are, you can now order your medications via e-mail without visiting the medical facilities during the next period, and receive a sufficient quantity for a period of 3 months.”

Elaborating on how residents can avail of the service, Mohap further stated that those with chronic health conditions could either email the medical facility where your doctor works, at least two days before the date of renewing your prescription.

The patient would need to attach their ID card, mention their doctor’s name, state their health condition (health status) and also mention their medicine name or attach its image. Medicines would then be prepared in the pharmacy and delivered before the due date, MoHap stated in the tweet.
