NCM forecasts partly cloudy skies and light rain in northern and eastern UAE on Sunday.

Dubai: UAE residents can expect mostly fair weather at the start of the weekend, with clouds set to increase over parts of the country on Sunday and a chance of light rain, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Saturday is expected to be fair to partly cloudy across the UAE, while humidity will rise overnight and into Sunday morning in some coastal areas, potentially leading to mist formation.
Winds will be light to moderate, initially coming from the southeast before shifting north-westerly and strengthening at times. Speeds are expected to range from 10 to 20kph, reaching up to 35kph.
Sea conditions will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Weather conditions are expected to turn more unsettled on Sunday, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies developing over parts of the northern and eastern UAE and a chance of light rain.
Humidity is also forecast to rise again on Sunday night and into Monday morning across some coastal areas, potentially leading to mist formation.
Winds on Sunday will be light to moderate, shifting from south-westerly to north-westerly and reaching speeds of 10 to 20kph, with gusts of up to 30kph. Seas are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
The weekend comes after a spell of intense summer heat, with temperatures expected to climb as high as 49°C in some inland areas before conditions gradually ease towards the weekend.
