Dubai: The UAE is set to experience fair to partly cloudy skies today, with the possibility of convective clouds developing over eastern regions and bringing afternoon rain. Temperatures could climb to 48°C in inland areas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
UAE weather forecast: Humidity, fog risk and rising temperatures expected through the week
The UAE is expected to turn more humid overnight and into Tuesday morning, with the possibility of fog or mist developing in some coastal and inland areas. Winds will remain light to moderate, shifting from south-easterly to north-westerly directions and occasionally reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h, potentially causing blowing dust. Sea conditions are forecast to stay slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Temperatures are likely to range between 43°C and 48°C in inland areas, while coastal regions and islands may see highs of 37°C to 42°C. Mountain areas are expected to remain cooler, with temperatures ranging from 31°C to 37°C.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), similar weather patterns are expected to continue until Friday. Afternoon convective clouds may develop over eastern and southern parts of the country, bringing a chance of rainfall, while temperatures are forecast to gradually increase from Wednesday. Winds will continue to be light to moderate, occasionally strengthening to around 40 km/h, with slight sea conditions expected across both waterways.
