The NCM added that stronger winds later in the week could trigger blowing dust and rough sea conditions in parts of the country.
On Wednesday, conditions are expected to remain generally fair, with light to moderate north-westerly to south-westerly winds strengthening at times to around 35 km/h in mountainous areas. Seas are forecast to stay slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Temperatures are forecast to range between 40°C and 43°C across coastal and inland areas, while mountainous regions are expected to see highs of up to 34°C.
From Thursday, winds are expected to strengthen further, reaching up to 40 km/h and causing blowing dust, particularly in northern and eastern parts of the UAE, according to the National Centre of Meteorology. Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are forecast to become rough at times by the afternoon.
The authority said similar conditions are likely to persist on Friday, with rough seas during the daytime and dusty weather affecting parts of the country. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly on Saturday, followed by the appearance of low clouds over the eastern coast on Sunday morning.
