UAE weather forecast: Cooler temperatures, dusty conditions and rough seas expected over the weekend

Date:

Temperatures ease slightly as fair and dusty conditions continue into the start of next week.

Abu Dhabi: The UAE is expected to experience milder weather conditions over the coming days, with temperatures set to dip slightly across several regions as fresh winds bring dusty conditions and rough seas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

In its latest forecast, the NCM said Friday will remain generally fair, although coastal areas are expected to see a gradual decrease in temperatures along with humid conditions overnight and into Saturday morning.

Daytime temperatures are expected to range between 36°C and 41°C across coastal areas and islands, while inland regions could see highs between 39°C and 44°C. Mountain areas are forecast to remain relatively cooler, with temperatures ranging from 30°C to 35°C.

Southwesterly to northwesterly winds are expected to reach speeds of up to 40 km/h at times, especially over the sea, leading to blowing dust in exposed areas and rough conditions in parts of the Arabian Gulf.

The cooler weather trend is expected to continue into Saturday, with another drop in temperatures forecast across the country. Dusty conditions are also likely at times, particularly in western regions, as northwesterly winds strengthen intermittently.

By Sunday, fair yet dusty weather is expected to persist, with moderate to fresh winds continuing to reduce visibility in some inland areas. Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf are also forecast to remain moderate to rough.

The National Centre of Meteorology said Monday is expected to bring generally stable weather conditions, although humidity levels are likely to rise again overnight and into Tuesday morning across some coastal areas. Winds may continue to stir dust in western regions before gradually easing.

A slight rise in temperatures is forecast for Tuesday, while humid conditions are expected to return during the night and early morning hours. Sea conditions are also likely to become calmer compared to the beginning of the week.
