New objectives will focus on expanding air cargo, advancing digital platforms and strengthening supply networks.

Dubai: The UAE is introducing new air freight targets, digital trade platforms and national logistics programmes to streamline cargo flows and strengthen supply networks.
The UAE Logistics Integration Council reviewed the progress of these initiatives during its second meeting of 2026, chaired by Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and Chairman of the council.
The initiatives include upgrades to the national logistics performance framework, fresh targets for the air cargo sector and stronger coordination between the UAE’s trade and logistics networks.
Accelerating goods movement
The council is collaborating with government entities and strategic partners to create policies that support smoother trade flows, enhance supply chain efficiency and improve connectivity across road, maritime, air and other transport networks.
The council also reviewed progress on the National Early Enquiry Centre, as well as initiatives to modernise the postal sector and enhance the quality of postal services.
These efforts aim to improve operational efficiency and strengthen the UAE’s resilience in adapting to evolving global trade and economic trends.
Al Mazrouei said the UAE continues to achieve major milestones in logistics through a national approach built on innovation, integration and forward planning. He added that investments in advanced infrastructure, digital solutions and strategic partnerships remain central to strengthening the country’s role as a global hub for trade and supply chains.
Digital transformation drives logistics agenda
The council also reviewed plans to speed up digital transformation and promote innovation across the logistics sector, while strengthening collaboration among relevant authorities and organisations.
Greater connectivity between trade and logistics platforms is expected to streamline operations and improve cargo movement across the UAE’s ports, airports and transport networks.
Al Mazrouei said the UAE is continuing to develop an integrated logistics ecosystem powered by advanced infrastructure, digital capabilities and strategic partnerships.
