Heavy Traffic Builds on Dubai-Sharjah Routes, with Delays Around Al Qusais and Al Quoz.
Dubai: Motorists travelling to work on Friday morning are experiencing significant delays across several major roads, with the heaviest congestion concentrated on routes connecting Dubai and Sharjah.
Al Ittihad Road (E11) is among the busiest stretches, with traffic moving slowly from Al Nahda and Al Qusais towards Sahara Centre and the Sharjah border.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) is also experiencing heavy congestion between Muhaisnah and Al Qusais, with delays continuing towards Sharjah’s Industrial Area 15 and Muwaileh.
Within Sharjah, slow-moving traffic has been reported around Al Khan, Al Taawun and the Industrial Areas. Motorists are also facing delays around Al Qusais Industrial Area and Madina Mall.
Closer to central Dubai, Airport Road (D89) is experiencing slow-moving traffic in sections around Al Garhoud and Umm Ramool. Intermittent delays are also affecting internal roads across Deira, Al Rigga, Abu Hail and Al Karama, while congestion is building near Waterfront Market and Al Mamzar.
Al Khail Road (E44) is also heavily congested through Al Quoz and Ghadeer Al Tair, with slow traffic extending towards Business Bay and Ras Al Khor.
Motorists should also prepare for delays around the Al Khail Road interchange with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, particularly near Jumeirah Village Circle and Jumeirah Village Triangle.
Further south, motorists are encountering slower traffic on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road around Dubai Production City, City Centre Me’aisem and Dubai Sports City. Delays are also affecting stretches near Motor City, Green Community and Tilal Al Ghaf.
Internal roads around Al Furjan, Discovery Gardens and The Springs are experiencing heavier traffic, while some sections near Nad Al Sheba and the Rochester Institute of Technology are also moving slowly.
In contrast, Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) through Al Quoz, Al Safa and Umm Suqeim is largely flowing smoothly. Most sections of Dubai-Al Ain Road (E66) are also relatively clear, potentially providing alternative routes for motorists travelling towards Business Bay and Downtown Dubai.
