Parents are expected to help their children by ensuring they follow their learning schedules.

Dubai: The UAE’s Ministry of Education has issued 22 responsibilities for schools, teachers, students, and parents to ensure the effective delivery of distance learning, emphasizing the importance of strong coordination among all parties to provide a comprehensive learning experience.
The ministry stated that the responsibilities are divided as follows: seven for school administrations, six for teachers, four for students, and five for parents, forming part of the national framework for remote learning.
School administrations are tasked with establishing clear communication channels, regularly sharing remote learning schedules, supporting teachers in lesson planning, monitoring student engagement, and ensuring the safe use of approved digital platforms. They must also provide clear guidance to parents and foster collaboration among teachers.
Teachers, in turn, are expected to plan lessons according to remote learning schedules, design age-appropriate activities with interactive elements, provide clear instructions, monitor student progress, and offer timely feedback.
Students are required to attend scheduled online classes in full, complete assigned tasks, report technical issues through official school channels, and maintain respectful behaviour during virtual learning.
Parents are expected to support their children by ensuring they follow learning schedules, facilitating access to devices and platforms, encouraging participation, reinforcing responsible digital behaviour, and maintaining communication with schools when additional support is needed.
The ministry also emphasized the importance of monitoring student wellbeing during remote learning. Schools must follow up with students showing signs of reduced engagement, maintain communication with parents, and provide guidance on healthy study habits. Support for students of determination must continue through adapted learning materials and ongoing coordination with families.
According to the ministry, these measures aim to strengthen the quality of remote education while safeguarding students’ academic progress and overall wellbeing.
