Farm stay owners report a surge in demand, with Eid bookings often completed weeks in advance, mainly from large families or groups of friends travelling together.

Rental prices for farm stays across the UAE have soared ahead of the Eid Al Fitr holidays, with daily rates rising from around Dh2,000–3,000 to over Dh5,500 per night as demand for nature getaways grows.
Operators and farm managers report that farm stays and private countryside villas are already fully booked for the long weekend, with families opting for outdoor gatherings.
For many residents, farm stays have become the preferred way to celebrate Eid, providing space for barbecues, overnight stays, children’s activities, and large family gatherings in a private setting.
UAE farm stay rental prices nearly double ahead of Eid Al Fitr holidays
Rental prices for farm stays across the UAE have surged sharply ahead of the Eid Al Fitr holidays, with daily rates jumping from around Dh2,000–3,000 to over Dh5,500 per night as demand for nature getaways rises.
Early bookings and rising demand
Ahmed Saleh, an engineer and resident of Nad Al Hamar, began searching for a farm stay in Ras Al Khaimah nearly three weeks ago for an Eid gathering with relatives and friends. “We are four families planning to celebrate together. Earlier, we used to find good farm stays for around Dh2,500 per night, but this time, most places were either fully booked or asking more than Dh5,000,” he said. Saleh added that the goal was to spend quality time away from the city, with space for outdoor activities, barbecues, and overnight stays.
Meanwhile, Mariam, a resident of Al Nahda in Sharjah, said her family postponed their plans after seeing the high prices. “We checked properties in Hatta and Fujairah, but almost everything was booked. The few available options were very expensive. Some owners were asking Dh6,000 to Dh6,500 for just one night,” she said.
Why farm stays are booming
Farm stays have gained popularity as families seek peaceful celebrations away from crowded malls. “During Eid, malls are crowded. At a farm stay, we can cook together, play games, sit around a bonfire, and let children enjoy outdoor activities,” said Khan, a resident.
Owners confirm the surge in demand. Saeed Kazim, who manages a farm in Hatta, said bookings were completed weeks in advance. “Most bookings are from large family groups or friends travelling together. Many guests specifically request barbecue areas, swimming pools, outdoor seating, and spaces for overnight gatherings. Some even ask for projector screens for movie nights, extra tents for children, and extended late check-outs.”
High demand across the Emirates
Muzammil, another operator in Ras Al Khaimah, said bookings this year started earlier than in previous Eid holidays. “People are booking almost a month in advance. Families want privacy and nature instead of busy hotels,” he said. Operators also noted that pleasant March weather has contributed to the surge, making outdoor celebrations comfortable both day and night.
