The UAE has stated that its bases will not be used to launch attacks on Iran and has called for an immediate de‑escalation of tensions.

The UAE has denied any role in attacks on Iran, despite Iranian strikes on its territory.

“Abu Dhabi: The UAE stated it will not take part in any attacks on Iran and rejected claims that its territory is being used to launch strikes on Tehran, even as it faces ‘unjustified’ attacks amid rising tensions in the Middle East. Speaking in Geneva, Jamal Al Musharakh, UAE Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN and other international organizations, confirmed that Emirati bases are not involved in operations against Iran.”

“He said, ‘Our bases are not being used to attack Iran,’” reaffirming the UAE’s position that its territory isn’t part of offensive operations against Tehran.

“He said, ‘We have consistently made clear, both before and amid current events, that the UAE will not take part in any attack on Iran from its territory nor be drawn into such a conflict.’”

“‘De-escalation, de-escalation, de-escalation—this has always been our consistent stance, and we will continue to advocate for it,’ he said. The envoy described Iranian strikes on civilian infrastructure in the UAE, including desalination plants and energy facilities, as ‘concerning and unacceptable,’ emphasizing that the country is fully prepared to defend these critical sites. He added that the attacks on the UAE and neighboring nations breach principles of good neighborliness and hinder efforts to achieve peaceful solutions.”

“He reiterated that even amid ‘unjustified’ attacks on the UAE, its bases would not be used to launch strikes against Iran.”
