The Gulf News Edufair in Dubai emphasizes educational options and career paths.

Date:

Edufair Dubai unites universities, career advisors, and study-abroad specialists under one roof.

Whether you’re about to start university or still in high school exploring your options, getting accurate guidance on courses, careers, and emerging fields is becoming increasingly important as educational pathways grow more complex and closely linked to industry needs.

To provide students with clearer insights into their academic and career choices, the Gulf News Edufair returns to Dubai from May 8 to 10 at The H Hotel, featuring over 35 universities from the UAE and abroad.

Now in its 10th edition, this three-day event is expected to attract students and parents seeking clarity on academic opportunities and future career directions. With leading institutions, career advisors, and study-abroad experts participating, attendees can explore a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and certification programmes, as well as benefit from expert-led discussions and on-site guidance.

Focus on Industry-Relevant Degrees
A major theme this year is the increasing emphasis on programmes that closely align with industry demands. Universities are designing courses that blend academic knowledge with practical experience, ensuring graduates are well-equipped for evolving job markets.

Among the participating institutions is Canadian University Dubai, which will showcase programmes across a diverse range of disciplines.

“Dubai continues to stand out as a global hub for education and innovation. At this year’s Gulf News Edufair, Canadian University Dubai will present a portfolio of future-focused programmes across undergraduate, graduate, and DBA levels, covering Business, Engineering and Computing, Public Health and Psychology, Architecture and Interior Design, and Communication and Creative Industries,” says Dr Rami El Khatib, Vice President – Student Affairs at Canadian University Dubai.

“What sets Canadian University Dubai (CUD) apart is a curriculum shaped by artificial intelligence, sustainability, and entrepreneurship, equipping students with ethical leadership and the in-demand skills needed for the future of work.”

Similarly, University of West London – RAK Campus will showcase programmes designed to meet current industry demand, particularly in technology and business disciplines.

At the Gulf News Edufair, University of West London – RAK Campus will showcase a focused portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in high-demand fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, and ACCA-accredited Accounting & Finance, as well as its MBA and specialised MSc programmes.

“We are seeing strong and growing interest in technology-led, career-focused programmes, with students increasingly prioritising employability and future-ready skills. Our offerings are designed to meet these expectations and are supported by merit-based scholarships and study grants to improve accessibility,” says Sajesh Nambiar, Head of Student Recruitment & Admissions at University of West London – Ras Al Khaimah Campus.

Study Abroad Guidance
In addition to higher education opportunities within the UAE, the event also highlights international study options. Study abroad consultants will be on hand to advise on destinations, application pathways, and long-term career prospects associated with overseas degrees.

Y-Axis, which will showcase opportunities in the UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, Ireland, and the United States, continues to attract strong interest from UAE-based students exploring global study options.

“Studying abroad is one of the most important decisions a young person can make, and it’s no longer just about choosing a university. Today, students are considering visas, work rights, career prospects, and long-term settlement all at once. That is precisely the holistic guidance Y-Axis provides, and Edufair is the ideal platform for us to connect with students and families at the very start of that journey,” says Clint Khan, Director at Y-Axis.

The Edufair is completely free to attend — registration in advance is all that’s required.
