Sharjah has started demolishing the Khorfakkan entrance bridge as part of preparations for the University Tower project.

Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority has begun demolition work on the southern entrance bridge to Khorfakkan as part of a wider plan to upgrade the city’s urban landscape.

The authority said the step is preparatory work for the upcoming Khorfakkan University Tower project, a landmark development designed to strengthen the city’s identity and enhance its visual appeal.

The tower forms part of several major development projects currently underway, aimed at improving residents’ quality of life and enriching the experience for visitors.

The project is part of ongoing efforts to modernise infrastructure and enhance the urban environment in Khorfakkan, in line with Sharjah’s broader vision for sustainable urban development.
