ABU DHABI: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone call today with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to discuss the ongoing military escalation in the region, its implications for regional and international security, and the impact on global shipping and the economy.

The discussion also focused on ongoing Iranian terrorist attacks targeting the UAE and other regional countries, including assaults on civilians, civilian infrastructure, and critical facilities.

The NATO Secretary General condemned the attacks, emphasizing that they violate sovereignty, international law, and the UN Charter.

He also praised the UAE’s management of the situation and the measures it has implemented to protect its territory and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents.
