How to submit an official accident report using MOI services: A step-by-step guide.

Abu Dhabi: Motorists whose vehicles are damaged by an unidentified driver can submit an official accident report online through the UAE Ministry of Interior’s digital platforms, eliminating the need to visit a traffic service centre.

The service is designed for cases where a vehicle has been damaged by an unknown party, including hit-and-run incidents or situations where the person responsible cannot be identified.

Once the report is submitted, drivers can obtain an official accident document for insurance claims and other official procedures.

The Ministry of Interior said the process starts with motorists answering a set of questions to assess whether there are any injuries and whether the vehicle can be safely moved away from the road.

Applicants must then identify the accident location on a map, provide vehicle details, upload the required documents and submit the request electronically.

The service is available through the Ministry of Interior’s smart platforms and forms part of its broader range of digital traffic services, allowing motorists to complete routine procedures online while minimising the need for visits to service centres.
