Al Quoz is set to welcome a new creative destination — and it’s already shaping up to be an exciting addition to Dubai’s cultural scene.
CMPLX is expected to open in Al Quoz by the end of 2026, introducing a warehouse-style lifestyle hub in one of the city’s most vibrant creative districts.
The development will feature seven warehouse spaces dedicated to food and beverages, a coffee roastery, wellness experiences, retail outlets and creative concepts.
Among the confirmed tenants is Hikiniku To Come, a Japanese wagyu hamburger steak restaurant set to open in Dubai this September. The concept is known for its specialised focus on minced meat and rice, featuring charcoal-grilled wagyu patties paired with unlimited rice prepared in traditional hagama pots.
CMPLX is expected to become the kind of destination where visitors can start their day with coffee, enjoy lunch, explore pop-up experiences, shop at independent boutiques and perhaps finish with a wellness session or Pilates class.
Located within Dubai’s evolving arts and culture district, CMPLX is being envisioned as a vibrant destination for residents, creatives, food enthusiasts and anyone looking to experience a more engaging way to spend time in Al Quoz.
The events space at CMPLX is expected to feature cultural programmes, live performances, collaborations and creative experiences, while the roastery and restaurant will add dedicated coffee and dining options to the destination.
The design will embrace Al Quoz’s industrial character, incorporating converted warehouse spaces, raw materials, high ceilings and mezzanine levels to create a distinctive atmosphere.
At the heart of the development will be a landscaped courtyard serving as a shared social space between the warehouses. With shaded pathways, greenery and communal areas, the courtyard is intended to transform the collection of venues into a cohesive neighbourhood destination.
The architecture will feature staggered warehouse structures and shaded corridors, designed to introduce more natural light and outdoor areas into the traditionally industrial environment.
The project is a natural fit for Al Quoz, a district that has become one of Dubai’s most dynamic destinations for art, design, food and independent creative concepts. With Alserkal Avenue already serving as a cornerstone of the neighbourhood’s cultural scene, CMPLX is expected to provide another reason for visitors to explore and spend more time in the area.
