How Jaywan cardholders can enjoy savings on travel, dining, shopping and entertainment

Date:

Jaywan cards enable UAE residents to make daily payments, shop online and withdraw cash from ATMs.

Dubai: Jaywan cardholders can access more than 150 offers covering travel, hotels, shopping, dining, entertainment, health and wellness. The benefits are available through the national scheme, participating merchants and card-tier partners, although offers may vary depending on the specific Jaywan card held.

The clearest benefits currently appear to be available on the Prestige and Royal debit card tiers listed by Al Etihad Payments. Residents considering these cards should compare the potential annual value of the offers with any account, card or membership fees charged by the issuing bank.

Flights and hotels

Prestige and Royal cardholders can receive an ongoing 7% discount on eligible flight bookings made through Trip.com. A similar 7% discount applies to qualifying hotel reservations booked through the platform.

Air Arabia passengers can receive up to 10% off Ultimate fares, while Etihad Airways passengers can get up to 10% off eligible Comfort and Deluxe fares. These discounts apply only to specified fare categories, meaning not every ticket type or promotional fare will necessarily qualify.

The final cost remains more important than the headline discount. Cardholders should compare factors such as baggage allowances, seat selection, cancellation policies, loyalty miles and applicable taxes before making a discounted booking.

Lounges and travel cover

Eligible Royal cards provide access to more than 1,800 airport lounges and travel experiences through Priority Pass. The exact number of complimentary visits, guest access rules and any spending requirements should be confirmed with the card issuer.

Jaywan also offers travel insurance through Sukoon. Cardholders should check whether they need to pay for the full trip using the card and whether the policy covers areas such as medical emergencies, cancellations, delayed baggage or other travel-related incidents.

Shopper protection and extended warranty benefits may cover eligible purchases against specified risks or extend the original manufacturer’s warranty. Coverage limits, exclusions, claim periods and maximum payouts depend on the applicable policy terms.

Cinema and dining perks

Jaywan’s Reel Cinemas offer includes buy-one-get-one-free tickets and a 20% discount on food and beverages. Users should check the eligible days, cinema formats, ticket limits and whether online booking fees still apply.

The Jaywan Entertainer app provides buy-one-get-one-free offers across dining, hotels, entertainment, retail, health and beauty categories. Residents may need to register their eligible card or activate their membership before accessing the offers.

A separate Royal card offer provides 12 months of Careem+ from Dh149. Before subscribing, users should compare the membership fee with the value they expect to receive from delivery, transport and other eligible benefits.

The best approach is to check the offer platform before making any significant booking or purchase. Residents should review the terms, use the eligible card for payment and keep receipts in case a discount or protection claim requires verification.
