Global Village Season 31: Ticket prices, timings, pavilions and essential visitor tips.

Dubai: The lights are set to shine again at Global Village, with Dubai’s popular multicultural destination reopening for its 31st season on Wednesday, October 14. Gates will open at 6pm on opening night.
Running until May 2027 under the theme A More Wonderful World, Season 31 will bring back many of the experiences visitors have come to expect, including country pavilions, international street food, shopping, thrilling rides and nightly entertainment.
Last season featured 30 pavilions representing more than 90 cultures, alongside over 3,500 shopping outlets and more than 250 dining options.
Global Village has also teased several new attractions for Season 31, with further details expected to be announced around opening night.
With so much to explore, a first visit can feel both exciting and overwhelming. From choosing the right time to arrive to planning your budget, here’s what to consider before heading to Global Village.
Getting there and when to go
- Location: Global Village is located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311). Driving is a convenient option, particularly for families, although parking areas can become busy on weekends, so arriving early can help.
- Opening hours: The park is scheduled to operate from 4pm to midnight, Sunday to Wednesday, and from 4pm to 1am, Thursday to Saturday. On opening night, October 14, gates will open at 6pm.
- Ticket prices: Season 31 ticket prices are yet to be announced. For reference, Season 30 tickets cost Dh25 from Sunday to Thursday and Dh30 on Fridays and Saturdays. Rides and selected attractions require separate tickets.
- Free entry: In previous seasons, children under three, guests aged 65 and above, and People of Determination with one companion were eligible for free admission. Visitors should check the latest Season 31 entry rules before travelling.

- Tuesday visits: Tuesdays have traditionally been reserved for ladies and families, except on public holidays. Visitors planning a Tuesday trip should check the latest rules before their visit.
When: October 14, 2026, to May 2027
Where: Global Village, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311), Dubai
Entry: Season 31 prices to be announced. Season 30 tickets were Dh25 from Sunday to Thursday and Dh30 on Friday and Saturday.

Where to park
If you’re driving to Global Village, there are several parking options, ranging from free spaces within walking distance of the entrances to paid parking closer to the gates. The best option will depend on how far you are willing to walk and how busy the park is on the day of your visit.
Free parking near the gates
- P1 and P3: Both are free and located around 400 metres from the Gate of the World.
- P5: Another free option, situated approximately 450 metres from the Gate of the World.
These parking areas can fill up quickly, particularly during the evening and on busy days, so arriving early will give you a better chance of finding a convenient spot.
Free overflow parking on busy days
- P7 to P11: These free parking zones typically operate on weekends, public holidays and other high-traffic days. They are located around one kilometre from the Cultural Gate.
Visitors do not necessarily have to walk the full distance. Free shuttle buses operate between the parking areas and the Cultural Gate, while rickshaw rides are also available from Dh10.
Paid parking closer to the entrances
For visitors who prefer a shorter walk, several paid options are available.
- Paid Parking 2: Around 350 metres from the Happiness Gate, priced at Dh75 per day.
- Paid Parking: Available for Dh120 per day on weekdays and weekends.
- VIP Parking: Complimentary for eligible VIP pack holders, while other visitors can use it for Dh200 per day.
Dedicated parking
Global Village also provides designated spaces for specific visitors. POD Parking is available for People of Determination, while Parking A is reserved for A Sticker holders.
Visitors can check the official Global Village ‘How to get to Global Village’ page for directions to the different parking areas. Those who prefer to avoid driving can also reach the destination by taxi or public bus.
How to plan your route
Arrive early: Try to reach Global Village when the gates open or shortly before sunset. This gives you time to explore before the evening crowds build up, while also letting you experience the park as it changes from daylight to its colourful nighttime atmosphere.
Start from the quieter end: Instead of beginning with the pavilions closest to the main entrance, consider heading towards the far end of the park first. If the layout remains similar to last season, areas around the Japan and Korea, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, or Africa pavilions could be good starting points. You can then gradually make your way back towards the entrance as the evening progresses.
Visit Carnaval before the evening rush: Ride queues generally become longer later at night as visitors finish exploring the pavilions. Heading to Carnaval between 6pm and 7pm could help you avoid some of the busiest periods, particularly if you are visiting with children or plan to try several rides.
Once darkness falls, consider one of the park’s taller attractions for a panoramic view. From above, you can see Global Village’s pavilions, attractions and illuminated streets spread out across the park.

Pavilions worth your time
Every pavilion at Global Village offers something different, but a few have consistently stood out for me in previous seasons.
- Japan and Korea: A favourite for pop-culture fans, with everything from K-pop merchandise to Korean skincare and other trending products.
- India: Browse colourful handicrafts and textiles, then stay for the lively music, dance performances and plenty of Indian food.
- Africa: Look out for traditional woodwork, musical instruments and tribal-inspired art, as well as a selection of natural beauty products.
- Turkey and Egypt: These are good stops if you are shopping for home décor, with ornate lamps, carpets, brassware and other decorative pieces.
- Yemen and Saudi Arabia: Honey, dates and spices are among the highlights here and also make convenient gifts to take home.
There is plenty to explore beyond the country pavilions. Gardens of the World, a landscaped walkway connecting the Egypt and China pavilions, returns this season, along with Dragon Kingdom, a walk-through attraction featuring 11 themed rooms.
For younger visitors, The Little Wonderers at Carnaval offers an indoor adventure space where children can play and explore.
Shows to plan around
Global Village hosted more than 40,000 shows and entertainment experiences during Season 30, and visitors can once again expect a packed entertainment programme this season, including parades, fireworks and performances across the pavilions and main stage.
Check the schedule when you arrive: Look at the Global Village website or app for the latest performance timings, then plan your route around the shows you most want to see.
Use street performances as a break: Drummers, dancers and other performers regularly appear around the park. They offer a good opportunity to rest your feet while still enjoying the entertainment.
Plan ahead for fireworks: Fireworks generally take place later in the evening. Find an open spot with a clear view of the sky ahead of the show to avoid searching for a viewing point at the last minute.
Eating smart
With hundreds of food options across Global Village, deciding what to eat can be one of the hardest parts of the visit. Instead of sitting down for one large meal, I would recommend trying three or four smaller dishes and sharing them. It gives you the chance to sample more cuisines during the evening.
Social media can be useful for finding popular dishes, but viral food does not always live up to the hype. Check the menus, ask about unfamiliar dishes and leave room to try something you might not have considered before.
Some of my favourite food areas from last season included:
- Floating Market: A lively spot for East Asian street food beside the canal, with the illuminated dragon providing the backdrop. Last season, chicken skewers started from around Dh5, while many dishes were priced at approximately Dh45 to Dh50. A meal with drinks for two could cost roughly Dh90 to Dh120.
- Happiness Street: Ideal for quick bites that are easy to eat while exploring. Last season, a lobster roll was priced at around Dh40, while a portion of luqaimat cost about Dh35, with both suitable for sharing.
- Dessert District: A colourful, candy-inspired area filled with sweet treats and playful décor, including cupcake-shaped tables.
- Indian Chaat Bazaar: The place to head for favourites such as pani puri and aloo tikki. If you are visiting with friends or family, ordering several dishes to share is a good way to sample more of the menu.
Food vendors, dishes and prices can change between seasons, so Season 30 prices should be treated only as a guide rather than current Season 31 rates.

Tips I swear by
- Go on a weekday: Sunday to Thursday is generally quieter than the weekend, making it easier to explore the pavilions, attractions and food stalls without the biggest crowds. Weekday tickets have also traditionally been cheaper.
- Download the Global Village app: Having the app on your phone makes planning easier, with access to the park map, show timings and the latest visitor updates in one place.
- Keep some cash handy: Carrying a few smaller notes can be useful, as payment options may vary between vendors.
- Compare before you buy: Don’t rush to pick up souvenirs at the first kiosk you see. Similar products are often available at several stalls, so browse around and compare prices before making a purchase.
- Wear comfortable shoes and carry a power bank: Expect to spend several hours walking around the park. Your phone battery can also drain quickly if you’re using the map and taking plenty of photos and videos.
- Plan around one must-see experience: Whether it’s a particular pavilion, live show, attraction or the fireworks, choose one priority and build the rest of your evening around it. This can save you from repeatedly crossing the park.
- Know where the facilities are: Restrooms, prayer rooms and seating areas are available throughout Global Village. Checking their locations on the map in advance can save time when you need them.
- Buy tickets only through official channels: Avoid unfamiliar ticket websites or sellers. Purchase admission through Global Village’s official website, app or other authorised channels.
Most importantly, don’t try to see everything in a single evening. With Season 31 running until May 2027, there is plenty of time for another visit. Take your time, explore the areas that interest you most and enjoy the experience without rushing from one attraction to the next.
