flydubai slowly resumes flights following disruptions at Dubai Airport.

Date:

Passengers are advised to avoid traveling to the airport without confirmed flight details.

Dubai: flydubai will gradually resume flight operations on a reduced schedule following a temporary suspension that disrupted several services.

The airline noted that some scheduled flights were affected by the earlier halt, and passengers will be notified if their flights are cancelled or rescheduled.

The airline emphasized that passengers should not travel to the airport unless they have confirmed that their flight is operating.

“Some scheduled flights were affected by the temporary suspension of operations. We are contacting customers impacted to inform them if their flight has been cancelled or rescheduled.”

The airline added, “Customers should not travel to the airport unless they have received confirmation that their flight is operating, has been rebooked, or been given a revised check-in time.”

The airline stated that it continues to coordinate with authorities and industry partners as it gradually resumes services.

“The safety of our passengers and crew remains our top priority. We are working closely with stakeholders and authorities to ensure operations resume safely,” the airline added.

Early Monday morning, the Dubai Media Office reported a drone-related incident near Dubai International Airport (DXB), affecting one of the airport’s fuel tanks.

Dubai Civil Defence teams quickly contained the fire, and the Media Office confirmed that no injuries were reported. Emirates had also suspended its operations temporarily but resumed some flights after 10:00 am.

What passengers can do
flydubai stated that passengers booked to travel between February 28 and March 31 can change or cancel their bookings without any penalties.

Travellers may rebook on another flight to the same destination within 30 days of their original travel date or cancel their booking for a full refund to the original form of payment or receive a travel voucher.

Passengers who booked through travel agents are advised to contact their agents directly for rebooking or refund options.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will continue to provide updates as soon as new information becomes available.”
