From Snowball Battles to Thrilling Zipline Rides: Explore the Best Activities at Abu Dhabi’s Indoor Snow Park.

Dubai: Experiencing real snow in Abu Dhabi is possible even when temperatures outside remain warm. This October, families can also take advantage of special autumn camps organised for children during the school holidays.
Snow Abu Dhabi, located at Reem Mall, and Ski Dubai, situated in Mall of the Emirates, are offering autumn camps for children aged four to 10 from Monday, October 12, to Friday, October 16.
The camps coincide with the midterm holiday observed by many private schools in Dubai, giving children an opportunity to enjoy winter-themed activities during their break.
Here is a closer look at Snow Abu Dhabi, its attractions and what visitors can expect.
Where Can You Experience Snow in Abu Dhabi?
Snow Abu Dhabi is located inside Reem Mall on Al Reem Island in the UAE capital.
The attraction officially opened in June 2023, becoming Abu Dhabi’s first indoor snow park.
It is operated by Majid Al Futtaim, the company that also manages the popular Ski Dubai attraction at Mall of the Emirates.
Covering approximately 10,000 square metres, the indoor park offers visitors a winter environment throughout the year.
According to Platinumlist, temperatures inside are maintained at approximately minus 2°C, while the snow reaches depths of more than 500 millimetres.
This allows families and children to experience snow-related activities regardless of the weather outside.

What Activities Can Visitors Enjoy at Snow Abu Dhabi?
Snow Abu Dhabi features an enchanted forest theme, complete with snow-covered hills, decorative trees and fantasy-inspired characters, including trolls and a snowy owl.
Unlike traditional indoor ski resorts, the attraction does not have a skiing slope. Instead, it focuses on family entertainment, making it particularly suitable for visitors with younger children.
One of the park’s main attractions is the Enchanted Tree, a large wooden structure positioned at the top of a snowy hill known as Flurries’ Mountain.
Nearby, the Snowflake Garden provides a dedicated area where visitors can build snowmen, enjoy snowball fights and explore a maze made of ice and snow.
The park features more than 20 rides and attractions designed to offer different winter experiences.
Popular activities include the Crystal Carousel, Polar Express Train, bumper tubes and two major slides known as the Ice and Floes Toboggan Race and Grauppel’s Summit Escape.
According to travel platform Wego, visitors can also enjoy sledging, zorbing and zip-lining.
Certain attractions have minimum height requirements, so families are advised to check individual ride restrictions before participating.
What Should Visitors Wear?
Visitors do not need to bring their own winter clothing when visiting Snow Abu Dhabi.
The park provides essential cold-weather equipment, including jackets, trousers, snow boots, disposable socks and helmets.
Standard admission tickets also include fleece gloves and access to a locker for personal belongings.
However, swimwear is not permitted inside the attraction.

Dining Options at Snow Abu Dhabi
Visitors can enjoy food and refreshments at The Lodge, a restaurant overlooking the park’s snowy surroundings.
The restaurant is also accessible to Reem Mall visitors who do not hold an admission ticket to Snow Abu Dhabi.
Another option is the Ice Café, where guests can take a break during their visit.
