Dubizzle Group has announced a strategic partnership and investment in Tern, a UAE-based platform offering rewards for rental payments.

The partnership aims to improve rental payment experiences for tenants and landlords across the UAE.

Dubizzle Group has announced a strategic partnership and investment in Tern, introducing a more flexible, digital, and rewarding rental payment experience for tenants, landlords, and agents across the UAE.

Through the integration of Tern into platforms such as Bayut and dubizzle, tenants will be able to pay rent via credit card and earn Tern Rewards points at no additional cost. These points can be redeemed across a network of retail, travel, and lifestyle partners.

The solution allows tenants to manage large recurring rental expenses more conveniently while earning loyalty benefits, including rewards redeemable for flights, electronics, and lifestyle services.

For landlords, property managers, and agents, the platform enables faster, fully digital rent collection and offers tenants a more flexible payment option that may improve satisfaction and rental retention.

Founded in 2024 by Said Al Sayyed and Mohamad Shaitou and launched in May 2025, Tern has quickly positioned itself as the UAE’s first dedicated rental rewards platform, with over AED 150 million in annualized rent payment volume now flowing through its ecosystem. The platform builds a multi-stakeholder loyalty network connecting tenants, landlords, banks, and merchants, with the aim of modernizing rent payment systems across the region.

“At Bayut and Dubizzle Group, our focus has always been on solving real challenges across the property journey, which goes beyond simply helping people find a home. Rent is one of the largest recurring expenses for most households, yet the payment experience has traditionally offered limited flexibility or value,” said Haider Ali Khan, CEO of Dubizzle Group UAE.

He added that Tern stood out as a strong solution to this industry challenge, supported by a capable founding team and a clear vision. The partnership aims to provide renters with a more convenient and rewarding way to manage rental payments while also creating new opportunities for landlords and agents, contributing to a more connected and user-focused property ecosystem in the UAE.

The investment is being made through Dubizzle Group Ventures, the Group’s dedicated venture capital arm focused on early-stage technology startups across the GCC.

Surya Raviganesh, who leads Dubizzle Group’s investments, said the team is actively seeking ambitious founders building scalable and innovative business models that create unique value across property, automotive, and consumer marketplaces. He noted that a significant share of the UAE population uses Dubizzle Group platforms monthly, creating strong opportunities for synergy with businesses that can leverage its highly engaged audience.

The investment reflects Dubizzle Group’s broader vision of building a more connected property ecosystem, where discovering, renting, and managing homes becomes seamless, flexible, and rewarding. With 58 million monthly visits and 20 million monthly users, its platforms remain key destinations in the region, and the exclusive integration of Tern further strengthens its position as a leading hub for rental services in the UAE.
