Dubai’s aerospace sector sees growing demand for aircraft cabin retrofits

Date:

UUDS AERO now operates across more than 180,000 sqm at MBRAH in Dubai South.

Dubai: UUDS AERO has expanded its presence at Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub in Dubai South, growing its footprint to more than 180,000 square metres across multiple facilities since launching its first operation there in 2022.

UUDS AERO currently operates four facilities within MBRAH’s Aerospace Supply Chain zone, with an additional airside facility under development as part of its continued expansion.

The company is also advancing plans for two Code F plots that will support advanced cabin completion and retrofit activities for wide-body aircraft. In addition, it is developing what is expected to become the region’s first Cabin Excellence Center within the Airline Manufacturing and Supply Chain Zone.

The expansion comes as demand grows for specialised aviation services, with airlines and operators increasingly investing in cabin upgrades, aircraft modifications and retrofit programmes aimed at enhancing passenger experiences and extending aircraft lifespans.

“Our focus remains aligned with the vision of our leadership to establish Dubai as the aviation capital of the world, while providing our partners with the infrastructure, connectivity and support required to expand their operations and serve regional and global aviation markets from Dubai,” said Tahnoon Saif, CEO of Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub.

MBRAH said UUDS AERO’s expansion reflects the broader growth of aerospace activities within the hub, supported by advanced infrastructure, connectivity, regulatory assistance and access to manufacturers, suppliers, maintenance providers and key aviation stakeholders.

Located within Dubai South, MBRAH is a free-zone destination for airlines, private aviation companies, maintenance, repair and overhaul providers and other aerospace businesses. The hub also hosts maintenance centres, training facilities and education campuses, supporting Dubai’s broader aviation and engineering development goals.
