Teenage Boxer Makes History as the First Arab to Claim Professional and Influencer Boxing Championship Titles.

Dubai-based Arab boxer Asaad Toqan has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Arab fighter to simultaneously hold an ICB influencer boxing championship and a WBC professional boxing title.
Expressing his excitement following the victory, Touqan said he was proud to have secured the prestigious championship on home ground in Dubai.
The young boxer captured the WBC Asia Youth Super-Middleweight Championship after defeating India’s Gaurav Bisht through a judges’ decision at a BATL Boxing Promotions event held at The Meydan Hotel.
The victory extended Touqan’s undefeated professional boxing record to four wins and no losses (4-0), marking another significant achievement in his growing career across professional and influencer boxing.
Reflecting on the contest, Touqan explained that winning the WBC Asia Youth title in Dubai was particularly meaningful because he had faced an experienced opponent.
He said maintaining discipline, trusting his training and remaining focused throughout the eight-round fight were essential to securing the victory.
Tough Challenge Against Experienced Indian Boxer
Touqan faced a formidable opponent in Gaurav Bisht, who entered the contest with extensive boxing experience.
The Indian fighter had competed in more than 100 amateur bouts and held a professional record of five victories and one defeat (5-1), with all five wins coming by knockout.
Despite Bisht’s experience and impressive knockout record, Touqan remained composed throughout the eight-round encounter.
His disciplined approach and consistent performance ultimately earned him the judges’ decision, allowing him to claim the continental championship.
The achievement represents another major step in Touqan’s professional boxing journey, which began on May 31, 2025, when he made his professional debut without any previous amateur boxing experience.
Following the win, Touqan expressed appreciation for the people who had supported him throughout his career.
He described the championship as an important personal milestone while emphasising that he considers it another step towards achieving greater success in the sport.
Success in Both Professional and Influencer Boxing
Alongside his achievements in professional boxing, Touqan has also built a reputation in the growing influencer boxing scene.
He previously defeated Dawood Savage to become the youngest-ever ICB champion, establishing himself as a notable competitor in crossover boxing.
The ICB championship has also been associated with prominent social media personalities and content creators, including Mo Vlogs and KSI, who have previously held the title.
By holding both the WBC Asia Youth Super-Middleweight Championship and the ICB influencer boxing title simultaneously, Touqan has established a unique record as the first Arab boxer to achieve this distinction.
His latest victory highlights his progress in professional boxing while strengthening his presence in the influencer boxing circuit.
Before beginning his professional boxing career, Asaad Touqan dedicated nearly a decade to Muay Thai, establishing an impressive record in the combat sport.
During this period, he became a three-time national champion and an Asian Muay Thai champion, demonstrating his skills and competitive abilities at both domestic and continental levels.
Touqan also represented Jordan at the World Muay Thai Championships in Bangkok, where he secured a silver medal, adding another significant achievement to his sporting career.
His latest boxing success came during a two-day event organised at The Meydan Hotel in Dubai on September 18 and 19.
The boxing showcase brought together international competitors and promising emerging fighters, providing a platform for established athletes and rising talents to demonstrate their abilities.
Having now secured both the ICB influencer boxing championship and the WBC Asia Youth Super-Middleweight title, Touqan has reached an important milestone in his transition from Muay Thai to professional boxing.
With an undefeated professional record of 4-0, the Dubai-based fighter will aim to maintain his winning momentum, gain further experience and pursue additional championship opportunities as his boxing career develops.
