Coronavirus in UAE: One patient infects 36 others

Date:

UAE confirmed 2 deaths from coronavirus on Monday.

A Covid-19 patient in the UAE infected 36 others he was in touch with, a top official has said.

Dr Farida Al Hosani, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), said on Monday that “it’s really unfortunate that one person infected so many others around him”.

Just last week, the ministry had revealed that a Covid-19 patient failed to adhere to quarantine regulations and infected 17 others, including family members and colleagues.

The official reiterated the UAE advisory to #StayHome. “We advise anyone coughing, sneezing or developing flu symptoms to stay home and avoid any physical contact with others.”

If one must step out of the home for urgent matters, he\she must take all due precautions like social distancing and hand hygiene.
