Nineteen Finalists Showcase Healthcare AI Solutions, with Winners Honoured at 42 Abu Dhabi.
Burjeel Holdings’ AI and technology arm, AiMed Solutions, in partnership with Burjeel Training Academy, the Group’s medical education and training division, is bringing together some of the UAE’s promising young technology talent for the AI Builders Summit 2026 Live Demo Day. The event will see 19 finalists present AI-powered solutions designed to address real-world challenges in healthcare.
The initiative aims to connect young innovators with clinicians, healthcare leaders, technology specialists and mentors, giving participants the opportunity to develop solutions that could improve patient care, support clinical decision-making, enhance patient experiences and increase the efficiency of healthcare delivery.
Following more than 100 applications from young innovators at universities and institutions across the UAE, 19 finalists were selected through a competitive evaluation process. Over four weeks, the participants have developed functional AI solutions and prototypes covering areas such as clinical decision support, predictive analytics, digital patient experiences, automation, operational efficiency, population health and medical education.
At the Live Demo Day, to be held at Burjeel Holdings’ headquarters in Abu Dhabi, the finalists will pitch their solutions to a panel of experts from the healthcare, technology, AI, innovation and academic sectors. The jury will evaluate each project based on its healthcare relevance, potential impact, scalability and prospects for real-world implementation.
Building AI Solutions for Real-World Healthcare Challenges
The AI Builders Summit aims to encourage students, recent graduates and emerging technology innovators to explore how artificial intelligence can be used to tackle real-world healthcare challenges and create practical solutions.
Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, Chairman and CEO of Burjeel Holdings, said artificial intelligence could fundamentally transform healthcare delivery, but meaningful change starts with identifying the right challenges and bringing together people capable of solving them. Through the initiative, young innovators will have the opportunity to work alongside healthcare professionals, gain insights into real clinical and operational challenges and develop solutions that could deliver tangible benefits to patients.
He added that nurturing local talent and providing young innovators in the UAE with opportunities to address real healthcare challenges is an important step towards building the capabilities needed for the future.
From Innovation to Real-World Implementation
AiMed Solutions focuses on identifying, developing and implementing AI-powered technologies across clinical care, decision support, predictive analytics, workflow automation, patient experience and healthcare operations. Its work aims to integrate AI into real-world healthcare delivery while supporting Burjeel Holdings’ broader transformation under Burjeel 2.0, which places emphasis on AI, technology integration, innovation and digitally enabled care to enhance clinical outcomes, patient experience and operational efficiency.
Promising projects emerging from the Summit will have an opportunity to engage with AiMed Solutions and Burjeel Holdings’ clinical and innovation teams. Winning and high-potential concepts may be considered for mentorship, further development, training and potential collaboration within real-world healthcare settings.
Following the jury’s evaluation, the winning teams will advance to a dedicated award ceremony planned for mid-September at 42 Abu Dhabi. The event will bring together participants and industry experts to recognise the contribution of young talent to the future of AI-enabled healthcare.
