Transavia Suspends Dubai Flights Until March 15

One of Europe’s leading low-cost carriers, Transavia, has suspended all flights to and from Dubai. The Dutch airline confirmed that all services to Dubai International Airport will remain cancelled until Sunday, March 15.

Transavia operates as a subsidiary of KLM and is part of the Air France-KLM Group. In a statement, the airline said the cancellations are due to airspace restrictions on the Dubai route and limited slot availability at Dubai International Airport.

The airline noted that these measures are precautionary, and it continues to closely monitor the situation. It also warned that if safety advisories for flying over certain areas remain in effect, additional cancellations could follow after March 15.

Transavia’s main hub is at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, with additional hubs across the Netherlands and three bases in France.

Passengers booked on affected Dubai flights will be notified via SMS and email if their flights are cancelled.

DXB Flight Cancellations in 2026

Transavia’s announcement comes after several precautionary flight cancellations to the region by major European carriers.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, based at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, cancelled multiple flights to Dubai International Airport at the end of January but has since resumed daytime services. Air France briefly suspended its service to DXB but resumed operations on Saturday, January 24.

Meanwhile, Emirates recently cancelled flights to several US destinations—including New York, Washington DC, Boston, Dallas, and Newark—due to Storm Fern.

Passengers affected by Transavia’s ongoing cancellations have several options: they can request a full refund, rebook for a later date, or switch their flight to another destination free of charge, provided the new flight is within 14 days of the original booking.
