Binance crosses $1 billion in assets under management within 30 days of stock trading launch

Date:

Over $3 billion in trading activity underscores rising appetite for global stock markets.

Binance, the global blockchain ecosystem and digital asset infrastructure provider, has announced that its stock trading platform surpassed $1 billion in assets under management (AUM) within 30 days of launch.

The milestone comes alongside more than $3 billion in total trading volume since the service went live on June 1, 2026.

The stock trading feature allows users to access more than 7,000 US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), with transactions settled in stablecoins, directly through the Binance app alongside their existing cryptocurrency holdings.

Strong early adoption

Binance reported that the platform recorded average daily inflows of $42 million, with around 73 per cent of users coming from emerging markets.

The company said one in seven visitors to its stock trading page registered an account, and nearly 90 per cent of those new users went on to place a trade.

Fractional orders accounted for 35 per cent of equity trading volume, allowing users to invest with amounts starting from $5. Around 71 per cent of equity holdings were allocated to the technology sector, with nearly half of that exposure focused on semiconductors.

“A billion dollars in 30 days is a sign of the demand that has been waiting decades for a door to walk through. The walls that kept most of the world out of US stocks were never as solid as they looked. We built this for the hundreds of millions of people who never had a way in,” said Shunyet Jan, Head of Exchange and Trading at Binance.

Expanding access to global equities

According to Binance Research, only about 11 per cent of adults worldwide currently hold a brokerage account, while US equities account for roughly half of global stock market capitalisation.

The company said stock trading on Binance aims to address access barriers by allowing users to invest in US stocks and ETFs using stablecoins and BNB without requiring a traditional brokerage account.

Emerging market users accounted for approximately 73 per cent of the platform’s user base, reflecting demand from regions that have historically had limited access to global equity markets.

The company added that fractional trading has helped reduce the barrier to entry, enabling users to gain exposure to stocks without needing to purchase full shares.

Technology stocks dominate investor interest

Binance said users have already traded nearly 740 of the 7,000 available stocks and ETFs, with technology companies attracting the highest allocation.

Technology stocks represent about 71 per cent of equity holdings, with 48 per cent of that focused on semiconductor companies. The sector also generates around 23 times more trading volume than other sectors, indicating strong investor interest in artificial intelligence-related themes.

Future growth outlook

Binance said the $1 billion AUM milestone represents an early indicator of a broader shift towards digital platforms expanding access to global markets.

Binance Research estimates that crypto exchanges could potentially bring $2 trillion in additional capital into global equity markets and attract 300 million new investors by 2031.

Based on current growth trends and market conditions, Binance Research projects that stock trading assets on the platform could exceed $10 billion by the end of 2026, while noting that the estimate is not a guarantee of future performance.

The company said the growth of stock trading follows the recent launch of bStocks, Binance’s tokenised one-to-one US securities offering, which reached $100 million in AUM within two weeks.

Together, the two products form part of Binance’s wider strategy to expand access to asset classes beyond digital currencies.
