The campaign urges motorists to renew licences before they expire and ensure they hold the correct category for the vehicle they drive.

Ajman Police has launched an awareness campaign highlighting the dangers and legal consequences of driving without a valid licence.
Organised by the force’s Traffic and Patrols Department, the campaign aims to improve road safety and encourage motorists to follow licensing regulations.
Colonel Rashid Humaid bin Hindi, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police, said the initiative is part of the force’s ongoing efforts to reduce traffic accidents and safeguard lives and property.
He cautioned that driving without a licence can lead to legal consequences while putting motorists and other road users at risk, particularly when drivers have not completed the required training and qualifications to operate a vehicle safely.
The campaign also reminds motorists to keep their licences valid, renew them before they expire and ensure their licence category corresponds to the type of vehicle they are driving.
Residents and visitors are being urged to understand the approved driving licence requirements and ensure they meet all the necessary conditions before driving.
As part of the campaign, Ajman Police is distributing awareness materials in Arabic and English, outlining the dangers of driving without a licence and the legal penalties that may follow.
Colonel bin Hindi called on community members to comply with traffic regulations and avoid allowing unlicensed individuals to drive their vehicles.
He also highlighted the role of families in educating children about the risks of unlicensed driving and encouraging a shared commitment to road safety.
