150 Participants to Receive Training in Marketing, AI Tools and Business Management.

Abu Dhabi: Families running small businesses from their homes in Abu Dhabi are being offered new support to help turn their ventures into more professionally managed enterprises.
The Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, part of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Community Development, has launched a new programme called My Family Innovates, designed to support the development and growth of home-based family businesses.
The initiative is designed to help so-called productive families develop small home-based ventures into more competitive, sustainable businesses that are better prepared to enter and succeed in the market.
Abdullah Al Ameri, Director General of the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, said the programme is intended to give families the practical tools and capabilities they need to take their businesses to the next stage.
He said My Family Innovates will create an environment where participants can learn from each other, strengthen practical skills and transform their ideas and potential into meaningful economic opportunities.
The programme has been launched in line with the UAE’s Year of Family.
Skills for the digital age
Participants will receive training across key areas including entrepreneurship, business management, branding and digital marketing.
The programme will also introduce participants to artificial intelligence tools and help them develop the skills needed to prepare their businesses for the market.
My Family Innovates aims to support 150 participants across Abu Dhabi and is open to people at different stages of their entrepreneurial journey.
The initiative will also include low-income families and People of Determination, providing participants from different backgrounds with access to business training and development opportunities.
Volunteers and partners support the programme
My Family Innovates is being delivered in collaboration with partners from several sectors, while volunteers will play an important role in supporting participants throughout the programme.
Volunteers will provide practical, hands-on experiences designed to encourage creativity, innovation and greater community participation.
According to the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, combining training, mentorship and community engagement is expected to help participating families become more self-reliant and better positioned to take advantage of emerging business opportunities.
The programme is also expected to have a wider impact beyond individual participants, with the skills and knowledge gained potentially benefiting their families and households.
Strong families, stronger communities
Al Ameri said the initiative reflects the objectives of the UAE’s Year of Family by bringing communities together and creating shared opportunities for learning, development and meaningful contribution.
He highlighted the importance of strong families in building thriving communities and supporting long-term social development.
My Family Innovates forms part of Ma’an’s broader portfolio of family-focused initiatives aimed at improving quality of life and strengthening self-reliance among families across the UAE.
