India: No more PM Modi on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram?

India’s Prime Minister is “thinking” of quitting social media coming Sunday.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has been called a “social media sensation” because of the number of followers he has online is “thinking of quitting” internet platforms.

On Monday, the premier announced that he is “thinking” of giving up his social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube in the coming week.

Modi made this announcement on his official Twitter account, adding that he “will keep you all posted.”

Currently Modi is one of the most-followed world leaders on social media platforms. He is the second most followed politician on Facebook after former US president Barack Obama.
