Expat woman offers man sex on WhatsApp in UAE, then robs him

Date:

She barged into his house along with a friend, and took his cash and bank cards.

A 34-year-old African woman befriended an Arab man via social media, offered sex, barged into his house and robbed him of his cash and bank cards at knifepoint with the help of her female accomplice. The Ajman Criminal Court has sentenced the woman to life imprisonment, while the accomplice is on the run.

Investigations revealed that the woman made friends with the Arab man through social media and chatted with him on WhatsApp. The man apparently asked her to come over to his apartment in Ajman. The woman and her accomplice stormed into his house in the middle of the night and robbed him of Dh2,700 as well as his wallet which contained his credit and debit cards.

After this, the accomplice left the apartment with the cards, while the woman stayed with the man, threatening to kill him if he refused to tell her the PIN of his credit cards.

During interrogation, the victim said that he had lodged a complaint at Al Hamidiya Police Station reporting about the women who stole his money and cards. He said that he knew them through chats on WhatsApp since two days before the incident happened. They came to his apartment at 1.30am and knocked at the door, he said. When he opened the door, they entered the room wielding knives, the man claimed.

They beat him up and tied him to the bed. After the accomplice left the apartment with his bank cards, he somehow managed to catch hold of the second woman until the police arrived and arrested her.

The woman’s phone showed the conversation between her and the victim on WhatsApp and also had her scantily-clad photos, in which she offered herself for paid sex.
